Why Are Psychics More Accurate for Some than for Others?

Dear Julia:

My cousin and I have been going to the same psychic for a few years now. Everything she told me has come true, but she's not been as accurate with my cousin. For example, my cousin has a male friend who is married to whom she is very close. He likes her but only as a close friend he can talk to about everything. When my cousin gets her cards read, this guy always shows up. The psychic can see him right down to what the man had for dinner, but she hasn't accurately predicted what will happen with him or in my cousin's life. Why does she see this man clearly, yet she can't get anything right on for my cousin?
Maggie

Dear Maggie:

In this specific situation, it seems like your cousin is wrapped up in this guy, which means that her aura is full of thoughts and feelings about him. If she's not specifically asking the psychic about potential romance with him because he's unavailable, the psychic may see him in her aura but not know to question that glow of romance your cousin is projecting onto him. If, however, your cousin explains the situation, then a good psychic would know to delve deeper into the energy of that relationship.

Regarding the general question of why psychics can be more accurate when reading some clients than others, there are a number of factors to consider, including the psychic's skills, the readability of the client, and the quality of energetic connection between the two.

The Psychic's Skills

Like pictures on a crystal ball, when a psychic looks into a person's life, all sorts of images may pop up. A novice may simply take whatever comes to her and report what she sees, but a more skillful psychic will ask carefully chosen questions in order to flesh out the picture and make sense of it all.

It sounds to me like the psychic you're describing is very visual in nature, since she painted such a clear picture of your cousin's friend. If she is highly clairvoyant but hasn't developed her other psychic senses, such as clairaudience and clairsentience, she may have a hard time getting further information about what she's shown. As a result, she may paint astoundingly clear pictures of certain people, places or events in the future and yet misinterpret their meanings sometimes. A great psychic will also have a clear connection with guides and helpers in the Spirit world of whom she can ask clarification questions.

It's also important to have a very clear, high intention for each reading and to lift clients to that high level of healing and understanding. In a good reading, the psychic does more than just dip into the future and take a look around; she helps you to create what you want in your life. In addition to psychic skill, a reader must be a spiritual healer or counselor, and she must take charge of things from the start so that her high intention prevails.

The quality of the questions asked definitely affects the quality of the reading. Before I ever agree to read for someone, I work with them to determine what it is that they really need to know in order to create what it is they are really longing for. Many people begin with a very simple or narrow question, which can be limiting to the scope and power of the reading. Instead of asking about the potential for romance with a certain person, for example, we can look at that as well as the big picture: how to manifest the quality of experience desired in love.

The Readability of the Client

There are definitely some people who are easier to read for than others, and these may vary from one psychic to the next. In general, the hardest people to read are those who are actively blocking the psychic or trying to hide something. People who say as little as possible in order to test psychics fall into this category as well. If someone is blocking me and I push into their energy anyway, it's a bit like pawing someone who is saying Don't touch me - it just doesn't feel right.

Some people think that they are open to being read when they're really not. For the most part, the more someone is able to open up and get emotionally vulnerable with me, the easier they are to read. People who are highly sensitive themselves tend to be easier to read because they have thin skin/ psychic boundaries. People with thick skin can be harder at first, but once they let you in, it's easier to make sense of what's happening in their lives because their energy isn't as mixed up with other people's. Sensitive people tend to take on others' pain and worries, and those energies mix with their own concerns. By contrast, people who are thick-skinned and mind their own business have strong boundaries, but once they let you in, their lives are relatively straightforward.

It's also important that the client be willing to hear the truth. Many people go to psychics either consciously or unconsciously wanting to hear what they want to hear. Let's say Linda goes to one psychic to ask if Billy really loves her and is going to leave his wife and five kids to be with her, and that psychic tells Linda it's not going to happen. If Linda is determined that Billy is the only one for her, she may actually get mad at the psychic and seek reading after reading until she finds a psychic who tells her what she wants to hear. To complicate things more, Linda may not even consciously realize she is doing this.

The Rapport Between Psychic and Client

I find it easiest to read for people who are very good at communicating. People who have trouble expressing their thoughts and feelings have similarly jumbled hearts and minds. I've found if someone can't clearly express what's happening and from that figure out what they most need to know, it will be harder for me to sort out their inner world as well.

I also find it easiest to connect with people who are similar to me in nature. If I don't get someone via normal thought processes, it will be hard to understand them psychically. Even if I ask my guides to help me, we're probably so far apart in terms of vibration and basic belief system that the person will have a hard time accepting and understanding the guidance I'm given for them.

Finally, psychic readings are not an exact science. We're dealing with probabilities, so the more responsive a person is to a good reading, the more empowered they will be to use the information given to create what they want in their lives, which may shift their trajectory in a higher direction. As I would rather be wrong because I helped someone to change their future than to be right and have them not find their way to the blessings they desire, my goal in readings is to determine what must be done in order for my client to manifest what they long for, and to communicate that in a way that is clear and empowering.

Further, the more profound the level of the reading, the less it will tend to contain concrete physical details and hard predictions of the future. This is because the higher our perspective, the more we can see the big picture, but the fuzzier all the details below tend to be. Some psychics and clients are ready for this higher level of guidance, while others are not.

Once you find a psychic who does good work for you, it makes sense to stick with her instead of shopping around, as you've clearly found someone skilled who clicks well with your own energy. Your sister may have better luck with someone else, or she may need to work on getting more clear, open and receptive in order to manifest better reading experiences.
